Blu-ray Player Version 1.17 Release

Good Morning! Your player should get the version 1.17 update the next time you power on. Give it 30 seconds or so when you turn on the power and then you should see a message “One moment while we update your software . . .”. If the ClearPlay playback menu appears and you don’t see the update message then recycle the power on your player again. If that doesn’t work then you can go to Setup > System > Upgrade > Network,  press the “ok” button and follow the prompts.

RELEASE NOTES
The following defects are addressed in this release:

1. TV Episode Filtering
Previously, filters for TV episodes were found but the filter was not applied during playback. This has now been fixed.

 2. Ratings Blocking
Users will be prompted for a PIN code if Normal Play is selected and the disc rating is equal to or higher than the parental control setting set on the player.

3. Updated the Messages Displayed When Filters are not Found
Modified the text “No ClearPlay Filter loaded for this movie.” to “No ClearPlay Filter loaded for this movie. Check ClearPlay.com to make sure this movie is supported.” if the player is connected to the internet but a filter cannot be found.

Modified the text “No ClearPlay Filter loaded for this movie.” to “No ClearPlay Filter loaded for this movie. Your player is not connected to the internet.” if a filter cannot be found because of internet connectivity.

4. Switching Between Normal Play and ClearPlay
Fixed Defect: If ClearPlay is selected and movie watched then (without turning off the player) another movie is watched with Normal Play the the movie is filtered. Conversely if Normal Play is chosen and a movie watched and then ClearPlay is chosen the movie is not filtered.

5. ClearPlay Disabled if a Movie is Paused
Previously during playback, pressing the ‘pause’ button twice was resuming playback and also was ignoring the CP filter.  Now it will ignore the ‘pause’ button when pressed a second time and playback will resume once the ‘play’ button is pressed.

6. Display “ClearPlay Filtering: On”
A user can now press the “display” button during playback and see if filtering is turned on or off.

7. DISC ID Screen Doesn’t Disappear
The disc ID screen (opened by pressing the “display” button when on the “ClearPlay” screen) does not disappear when the tray is opened or after navigating the set up menu. This has now been fixed so that disc ID screen will go away after a user leaves the ClearPlay screen.
