Blu-ray Player Conference Call Reminder

A reminder that Clearplay will host a conference call tomorrow to give an update on the blu-ray player and field questions that you may have.

When: 8/13/2014 @ 3:00pm MST
Number: (605) 562-3140
Access Code: 609823
Email: bluray.call@clearplay.com
Agenda:

  • Introduction
  • Review Roadmap

When you call in you will automatically be placed on mute. Once you hear the attendants voice say “muted” you will be on the call.

Also, we have four 3 month membership gift cards that we’d like to give away to those who submit questions. We’ll pick the names randomly at the end and will post the winners to the blog after the call.

I’m looking forward to speaking with you and hearing your feedback!

  1. I received my new Blu-Ray player about 2 weeks ago (First part of Aug). I have tried to play two standard DVD Netflix movies (300 – Rise of an Empire and 3 Days to Kill). In both cases I experienced the following problems:
    1. Blu-Ray arrived with very limited setup instructions.
    2. If played without filters, movies reach a certain point and the screen goes black without returning to the movie, or the movie will endless loop through about 3 or 4 seconds of play.
    3. Blu-Ray will not recognize filters from the USB stick that came with the Blu-Ray player and will not recognize any filter from any USB stick.
    4. The USB stick sent with the Blu-Ray is recognized by the older ClearPlay model.
How can I download and install the latest software update for the Blu-Ray player?

    • Hi Bill, can you try and download the latest filters from the website if you haven’t already? We had an issue 3 weeks ago or so with our filter file. It worked with DVD titles but not Blu-ray. If that doesn’t work call our tech support line and let them help you troubleshoot it. Their number is 866-788-6992. I’ve passed on your feedback to the DEV team about what happens when you try and watch 300 and 3 Days to kill. We’ll incorporate that into the bug fixes we’re making.
